The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has officially kicked off its asset monetisation exercise for 2026-27. NHAI has opened bids for two national highway stretches in Tamil Nadu, totaling 170 km, under the toll-operate-transfer (ToT) mode.
Epic Concesiones 2 Private Limited has emerged as the highest bidder for TOT-Bundle 19 with a bid submission of Rs 22.59 billion, followed by Adani Enterprises (Rs 22.55 billion), Prakash Asphaltings Toll Highways (Rs 15.51 billion) and Cube Highways (Rs 13.48 billion). The bids are currently under evaluation.
For 2026-27, NHAI has identified 17 national highway assets spanning 1,692.5 km across nine states, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra, for monetisation under ToT and Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) modes. The overall asset monetisation target for the year is Rs 300-350 billion.
