Government approves Rs 17.25 billion for 15,000 km road and bridge development 

The Public Works Department (PWD), Rajasthan has received the financial approval for Rs 17.25 billion to construct approximately 15,000 km of roads and several new bridges statewide, following announcements made in the state budget. Tenders will soon be issued to initiate these projects, which include notable developments such as a 34-km road in Ajmer for Rs 0.30 billion, a 36 km road network in Alwar costing Rs 0.35 billion, 27.50 km of roads in Banswara for Rs 0.35 billion, and 71 km of roads in Sawai Madhopur at Rs 0.97 billion.

Additionally, a high-level 0.5 km bridge in Shahpura, Jahazpur, is planned at a cost of Rs 0.15 billion, alongside 20.08 km of road and bridge work in Udaipur costing Rs 0.30 billion. A new bridge on a river in Jalore will be constructed for Rs 0.19 billion. The projects aim to improve connectivity and infrastructure across key regions in the state.
