Data Infrastructure Trust is seeking to raise up to Rs 66.66 billion from its sponsors, which include Brookfield, GIC, and British Columbia Investment. This funding will be used to acquire the telecom portfolio of the US-based American Tower Corporation in India. Earlier in 2024, the trust announced its intention to acquire ATC’s Indian telecom business, which consists of 78,000 towers, for an enterprise value of Rs165 billion, contingent upon pre-closing terms. The acquisition is anticipated to be finalised by September 2024.
