The Adani Group formally took charge of the operations and management of the Jaipur International Airport and the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on October 11, 2021 and October 14, 2021 respectively. The operations, management and development responsibilities of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati have also been handed over to the Adani Group. In 2018, the Government of India included the Guwahati airport in a group of six airports, alongside Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangalore, Jaipur and Thiruvananthapuram, set for privatisation of operations, management and development for a period of 50 years. Later, Adani Enterprise Limited emerged as the successful bidder for all six airports.
