The construction work on the Jhansi-Bina Third Line Railway Project was completed with the commissioning of the 8 km long Agasod-Bina section on October 15, 2026. The third line between Dholpur and Jhansi is also fully operational.
Jhansi-Bina Third Line Railway Project involved construction of a 152.57 km long third railway line between Jhansi and Bina in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh respectively at an estimated cost of Rs 27.91 billion. It was sanctioned under the Railway Budget 2015-16 and approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on August 24, 2016.
