The Cabinet of Assam has approved the Hawaipur Rail Over Bridge (ROB) Project at a cost of over Rs 1.55 billion to streamline traffic flow in Lanka town. The scope of work also includes construction of a bypass road from Kheroni Chariali to National Highway (NH) 27.
The project involves development of a 1.1 km long ROB near Hawaipur station in West Karbi Anglong, Assam at an estimated cost of Rs 1.55 billion.
