IR approves Kavach 4.0 on Delhi-Rewari, Shakurbasti-Bathinda rail sections including feeder branch lines in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab

Indian Railways (IR) has approved the installation of Kavach 4.0 on the Delhi-Rewari rail section and the Shakurbasti-Bathinda rail section, including feeder branch lines, covering a route of 680 km. It has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 2.06 billion. The project forms part of IR’s ongoing nationwide roll-out of Kavach under the umbrella programme for the provision of Kavach with an LTE-based communication backbone on the remaining routes of IR. The project is located in Haryana, Punjab and Delhi.
