NGT grants approval for the development of ICTT Project at Galathea Bay in Great Nicobar

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has granted approval for the development of the International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) Project at Galathea Bay. The project involves the development of a ICTT with a free trade warehousing zone (FTWZ) at Greater Nicobar in the PPP mode on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer basis including operations and maintenance in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The estimated cost and capacity of the entire project are Rs 443.13 billion and 16 million twenty-foot equivalent units respectively.
