The government of Madhya Pradesh has approved the revised cost for Indore Metro Rail Project at Rs 194.72 billion, on June 16, 2026.
The increase in the cost is supported by funds worth Rs 53.88 billion and also funds worth Rs 65.82 billion for public-private partnership (PPP) component and the impact of internal borrowing.
The project involves development of a metro rail transit system comprising ring line of length 31.55 km. It is being implemented by Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited. The project entails investment of Rs 194.72 billion.
