The Ministry of Railways (MoR) has allocated funds worth Rs 32.44 billion for the construction of the Vaibhavwadi-Kolhapur (Shri Chhatrapati Shahumaharaj Terminus) New Railway Line Project.
The project’s cost will be shared equally between the MoR and the Government of Maharashtra (GoM). Land acquisition is expected to begin shortly.
The project involves construction of a 107.76 km rail line between Vaibhavwadi and Kolhapur (now Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus) at an estimated cost of Rs 65 billion in Maharashtra.
