Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GAIL (India) Limited to collaborate in enhancing the natural gas value chain.
As per the agreement, both firms will work together to strengthen domestic gas availability and ensure its seamless access to demand centres across.
GAIL (India) Limited is a natural gas company, operating over 16,000 km of pipeline network across the country. It is engaged in gas trading, transmission, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production and transmission, liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification, petrochemicals, city gas distribution (CGD), and exploration and production.
OIL is an integrated Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSE) of the Government of India, engaged in the exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas, and the production of liquified natural gas (LPG).
