Guntur railway division inaugurates 150 kW solar power plant

The Guntur railway division, under the South Central Railway (SCR) zone, has inaugurated a 150 kilowatts (kW) solar power plant at the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) office in Pattabhipuram, Andhra Pradesh.

The plant is expected to save around 0.82 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent per day, while providing a reliable supply of solar energy for at least 25 years. Additionally, the project’s total cost is expected to be recovered in about 4.5 years.
