IR approves Bhavnagar Para (BVP) Yard Remodeling Project in Gujarat

Indian Railways (IR) approved the Bhavnagar Para (BVP) Yard Remodeling Project on September 1, 2026.  It has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 1.25 billion. It will decongest Bhavnagar Terminus (BVC) by shifting stabling and other operational activities to Bhavnagar Para.

The scope of work involves four loop lines, one engine reversal line, Accident Relief Train (ART) and Accident Relief Medical Equipment (ARME) siding, relocation of the station and Electronic Interlocking (EI) building, one high-level passenger platform, widening of the existing platform, extension of the existing Foot Over Bridge (FOB) and construction of one new FOB.

The project will also include two Road Under Bridges (RUBs), including one new RUB and extension of an existing RUB, along with service buildings and associated electrical and signalling works. The project involves yard remodeling of Bhavnagar Para (BVP) at an estimated cost of Rs 1.25 billion in the state of Gujarat.
