The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Assam has laid the foundation stone for a 24×7 Drinking Water Supply Project in Sribhumi town under the Jal Jeevan Mission (Urban). The scope of the project includes delivering 24×7 tap water supply to about 75,000 residents across 27 municipal wards. It also includes laying 129 km distribution network and five elevated service reservoirs to ensure efficient water flow across Sribhumi town and other related works. The project is targeted to be completed by December 2028 at an estimated cost of Rs 811.80 million.
