Hero Future Energies has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 270 MW solar project integrated with energy storage systems (ESS) at a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh.
The project was awarded under SECI’s ISTS XVII auction for 2 GW of solar capacity combined with 1 GW/4 GWh of storage. This marks SECI’s second solar-plus-storage allocation, aiming to ensure a more reliable green power supply during non-peak solar hours.
