CFM clinches deal for supplying jet engines to IndiGO

CFM International has clinched a deal with IndiGo for supplying over 600 jet engines including spares for its upcoming aircraft. The engine maker, owned jointly by General Electric (US) and Safran (France), has been competing with the airline’s existing engine supplier, Pratt & Whitney, to provide engines for 280 twin-engine A320-family jetliners which have already been ordered by the carrier from Airbus.
