The Karnataka government has issued a gazette notification, the Karnataka Installation of New Telecommunication Infrastructure Towers Regulation Act, 2019. The new regulatory framework grants a three-month period to companies for regulating all existing towers. Meanwhile, the Karnataka government is planning to introduce a new policy aimed at addressing issues related to laying of data cables.
