The Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) has released the final versions of its Booking 2.0 and Bill of Lading 3.0 standards to streamline data exchange, enhance security, and improve regulatory compliance in container shipping.
Key upgrades include digital signatures for electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) security, introduction of more than 190 new attributes to the shipping instructions to support import control system 2 (ICS2), and improved visibility for booking and shipping documents, among others. These standards reduce costs, eliminate manual processes, and promote sustainability by encouraging eBL adoption.
