Indian Railways (IR) has deployed an electronic interlocking (EI) system at Shakurbasti in New Delhi under the Northern Railway (NR) zone.
The EI system features a visual display unit (VDU) managing a total of 493 routes, and has replaced India’s oldest mechanically interlocked yards.
