Central government allocates additional 5 GW under PM-KUSUM scheme to Rajasthan

The central government has allocated an additional 5,000 MW capacity to Rajasthan under the PM-KUSUM (Component A) scheme.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy notification outlines that the scheme will sunset in March 2026, with project commissioning to be completed by December 31, 2025. The state implementation agencies (SIA) and discoms are required to submit progress and completion reports on the PM-KUSUM online portal. The notification also includes compliance guidelines, making discoms responsible for recovering the central financial assistance if provisions are not met, along with penalties and interest for non-compliance. The year-wise utilisation certificates and progress reports must also be submitted by SIAs and discoms to ensure accountability and timely execution.
