Avantel has informed that it has won a purchase order valued at Rs 1.77 billion from Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses for the supply of advanced satellite communication equipment. The order is to be executed by March 2027.
The equipment will be deployed as part of the Real-Time Train Information System (RTIS) for the Centre for Railway Information Systems of Indian Railways. The RTIS project is designed to enhance the efficiency of train operations by automatically capturing train movement data for both passenger and goods trains and feeding it directly into the control office application.
