Eastern Maritime Corridor between Chennai, India and Vladivostok, Russia operational, reducing cargo transport time

The Eastern Maritime Corridor between Chennai in India and Vladivostok in Russia has become operational with container ships carrying crude oil, metal and textile coming to Indian ports. Covering a distance of about 5,600 nautical miles, the corridor is likely to boost maritime ties between India and Russia.

The Eastern Maritime Corridor is expected to reduce the time from more than 40 days to 24 days (by 16 days).
