Afcons Infrastructure Limited has won a contract worth Rs 18,993.6 million for construction of a water conveyance tunnel from Kasheli to Mulund in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Bids for the same were invited by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) in May 2024.
The scope of work includes construction of a 7.15 km long water conveyance tunnel from Kasheli in Bhiwandi to Octroi Naka in Mulund having 4.5 m diameter using tunnel boring machine (TBM).
The work will be carried out on design, build and operate (DBO) basis.
