Brookfield to buy Axis Energy wind farms for Rs 5 billion

Canadian firm Brookfield Asset Management is likely to acquire two wind farms from Axis Energy Ventures India Private Limited for Rs 5 billion. These wind farms have a total power generating capacity of 210 MW. This will be the company’s first direct acquisition in the renewable energy space in India. The acquisition will take the company’s total renewable portfolio in the country to 510 MW.
