The Finance Department of Karnataka has granted in-principle approval for the Bengaluru metro rail project phase- III A. Additionally, the union government is likely to bear 20 per cent of the project cost.
Besides, the detailed project report of the project is likely to be sent to government of Karnataka by the end November 2024.
The project involves construction of corridor III of Bengaluru metro rail project phase-III which is a 36.59 km long stretch from Sarjapura to Hebbala and has 28 stations including 17 elevated and 11 underground entailing an investment of Rs 284.05 billion.
