Station works have commenced near Patia under the Bhubaneswar metro project phase-I.
Besides, soil testing has been completed for the project. Further, work on the Phulapokhari depot is underway which entails an investment of Rs 1.04 billion.
The metro project involves construction of 26 km long elevated metro rail corridor from Trishulia to Bhubaneswar Airport and will have 20 stations. It will be implemented by Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation Limited at an estimated cost of Rs 62.55 billion.
