The Central Government has sanctioned Rs 8.99 billion for two major national highway projects aimed at improving connectivity between Pune, Satara, and Solapur. The Dive Ghat to Hadapsar section on Palkhi Marg, spanning 13 km, will be upgraded from two to four lanes. Additionally, new major bridges will be constructed over the Mula and Mutha rivers along the Pune-Satara stretch of NH-48.
Further improvements include widening service roads from Narhe to Navale Bridge and boosting connectivity from Sinhagad Road to Warje, addressing traffic congestion in these busy zones. These developments are expected to significantly enhance regional connectivity and offer smoother travel.
