Odisha government aims to build 75,000 km of world-class roads in five years 

The government of Odisha has set a target to construct 75,000 km of world-class roads over the next five years to enhance commuter experience and safety. As part of this initiative, the Rural Development Department will take on the largest share, constructing 30,000 km of roads.

The Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department has been allocated 22,800 km, while the Works Department will build 15,000 km. Additionally, the Water Resources Department is tasked with constructing 5,000 km of roads, and the Housing and Urban Development Department will contribute 1,200 km. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will add another 1,000 km to this extensive infrastructure development plan.
