Mundra Port created a milestone by welcoming the largest container ship ever to call at an Indian port. The vessel, MSC Anna with a length of 399.98 metres and capacity of 19,200 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), docked on May 26, 2024 at the port.
With arrival draft of 16.3 metres, the vessel can be accommodated only at Mundra Port, as no other port in India is capable of berthing a deep-draft vessel.
