State inaugurates Elevated South Bank corridor of Guwahati-North Guwahati Bridge Project in Assam

The Assam government has commissioned an elevated south bank corridor under the Bharalumukh six-lane bridge project (North Guwahati-South Guwahati). The corridor has been built at a cost of Rs 3.26 billion and is 1.2 km long and 15.2 metres wide stretching from Bhootnath to Machkhowa. The project involves construction from north Guwahati to south Guwahati at a cost of Rs 26 billion. The funding agency for this project is the New Development Bank. It is being executed through an SPV under the Guwahati Development Department on an EPC basis.
