Construction work begins on Panjapur STP

The construction work on Panjapur STP commenced on March 12, 2024 in Tamil Nadu. The scope of work includes design, build and commissioning of a 100 mld STP in place of existing 56 mld STP at Panjapur using sequencing bioreactor technology including operation and maintenance of 15 years at Panjapur, Tiruchirapalli. The STP will treat sewage pumped in from wards 50 to 65. The project is being carried out under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 at an estimated cost of Rs 2.16 billion. The work is likely to be completed by 2026.
