Nalla Cheruvu STP gets inaugurated under Hyderabad Sewerage Improvement Project

The government of Telangana inaugurated the Nalla Cheruvu sewage treatment plant (STP) under the Hyderabad Sewerage Improvement Project on March 9, 2024. The project involves construction of 31 STPs on public-private partnership-based hybrid annuity mode in three packages to augment the capacity of sewage treatment in the city. Package I includes the construction of 8 STPs with the capacity of 402.5 million litres per day (mld), package II includes the construction of 6 STPs with the capacity of 480.5 mld under phase II and package III involves the construction of 17 STPs with the capacity of 376.5 mld under phase I.
