Desalination plant at Odisha Sand Complex in Ganjam gets inaugurated

The central government inaugurated a desalination plant at Odisha Sand Complex in Ganjam on March 5, 2024. The scope of the project included the development of a 5 million litres per day (mld) capacity desalination plant at Odisha Sand Complexes of Indian Rare Earths Limited. This project has been built as a part of field applications of indigenous desalination technologies developed by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
