Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has won a contract for the mechanisation of central quay (CQ)-I and CQ-II berths at Paradip Port in Odisha. The company quoted the highest royalty of Rs 122.3 per tonne for the project. Bids for the same were invited by Paradip Port Authority (PPA) in February 2026. The work is expected to be completed in 36 months.
The project involves mechanisation of CQ-I and CQ-II berths, with a capacity of 18 million tonnes per annum. The length of the berths is 485 metres with a dredged draft of 15 metres. The project will be developed on build, operate and transfer basis under the public-private partnership mode for a concession period of 30 years. The estimated cost of the project is 9.82 billion.
