DMRC submits revised route plan for extension of Blue Line

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has submitted the revised route plan for extension of Blue Line from Noida Electronic City to Sahibabad.
The last proposed station in Sahibabad is likely to be integrated with the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Project.
Noida Electronic City- Sahibabad Metro Rail Project involves extension of Delhi Metro’s Blue Line from Noida Electronic City to Sahibabad covering a distance of 5.2 km. The proposed stations under the project are Vaibhav Khand, DPS Indirapuram, Shakti Khand, Vasundhara Sector 5 and Sahibabad. It is likely to cost Rs 15.17 billion which will be shared by the Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) and the Union Government bearing 80 per cent and 20 per cent of funds each respectively.
