Expenditure worth Rs 1,053.78 billion incurred on railways safety under RRSK during last 5 years

IR has spent a total of Rs 1,053.78 billion on Rashtriya Rail Sanraksha Kosh (RRSK) during 2017-18 to 2022-23. Of the total expenditure, Rs 650 billion has been funded from the gross budgetary support and the remaining from internal and extra budgetary resources. Besides, during 2022-23, Rs 163.25 billion has been spent on track renewals, Rs 20.34 billion on rolling stock and Rs 268.55 billion on replacement/upgradation of assets.
