The Madhya Pradesh government has laid the foundation stone for the Indore 24×7 pressurised water supply under the Narmada Phase IV project under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0. The project aims to increase supply capacity to 900 million litres per day (mld) by 2029, catering to population growth and newly merged areas. It will include smart supervisory control and data acquisition monitoring systems, district metered areas, and expansion of pipelines and treatment infrastructure to improve efficiency and reduce losses at an estimated cost of Rs 13.56 billion.
