A 50 km long Surat-Bilimora rail section under the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (HSR) Corridor Project is expected to open by 2027. Besides, the entire project is expected to be completed by 2029.
Currently, the Ahmedabad station’s structural work up to the track floor is completed and work is ongoing for interior finishing and mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) installation and facade mockup and reinforced concrete (RC) track bed laying.
The project involves development of the 508.17 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR corridor in Maharashtra and Gujarat with an investment of Rs 1,080 billion.
