Bharti Space to invest additional Rs 12 billion in Eutelsat

Bharti Space Limited is set to invest an additional €120 million (approximately Rs 12.04 billion) in the French satellite operator, Eutelsat Communications S.A., through a rights issue, as part of Eutelsat’s €1.5 billion (over Rs 150 billion) capital raising initiative. This follows an earlier commitment of Rs 3 billion (€30 million) by Bharti Space via a reserve capital increase. Bharti Space currently holds a 24.09 per cent stake in the Eutelsat Group.
