DP World’s Mundra International Container Terminal delivered robust performance in calendar year 2025, handling nearly 1.5 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), marking a year-on-year growth of about 13.6 per cent. This milestone reinforces Mundra’s position as a key gateway for India’s export-import trade and highlights its growing importance in global shipping networks.
The growth was supported by a 6.57 per cent rise in vessel calls to 762, alongside increased rail-linked cargo movement that improved hinterland connectivity and evacuation efficiency. Infrastructure enhancements, including the addition of new cranes and equipment, further boosted productivity and operational performance.
The terminal also maintained momentum into early 2026 with with January volumes reaching 146,063 TEUs and February hitting 132,590 TEUs, reflecting sustained demand. Strategically located on India’s west coast, Mundra offers direct connectivity to major global trade routes, strengthening its role in international logistics.
