Quadrant Future Tek reaches final phase of KAVACH field trials

Quadrant Future Tek Limited has reached the final phase of passenger field trials for supply of Kavach to Indian Railways (IR). It is expected to secure final clearance from the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) soon for Kavach 4.0. It successfully completed the comprehensive multi-layered validation, including type testing, functional safety assessment, braking and performance validation, communication reliability, environmental endurance testing, signal passing at danger (SPAD) protection, collision avoidance scenarios, brake interface validation, secure radio communication testing and full integration and interoperability checks. The validation framework incorporates CENELEC SIL-4 safety compliance and the completion of this phase will lead towards final clearance and approval by IR.

Besides, as of February 2026, the company has an order book worth Rs 8,978.76 million out of which Rs 6,130.35 million is for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Kavach equipment in 768 locomotives/electric multiple unit (EMUs) from IR and to be delivered in FY 2026-27.
