Commercial operations begin at multi modal logistics park in Nagpur

On April 28, 2025, the multi modal logistics park (MMLP) in Nagpur at Sindi, near Wardha, began its commercial operations, with the arrival of its first rake carrying 123 Maruti Suzuki vehicles from Ex-Farukhnagar. The project is being developed across 150 acres in three phases via public private partnership (PPP) model with a 45-year concession period. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs 6.73 billion. Of which, phase I, with an investment of Rs 1.37 billion is dedicated to developing the core infrastructure.

A special purpose vehicle (SPV) authority, Maharashtra MMLP Private Limited has been established through a partnership between National Highway Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA). This SPV is responsible for providing essential infrastructure, including land, external rail and road connectivity, and the supply of water and power, to support the development of the MMLP.
