Datia airport receives licence from DGCA

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has licenced the Datia Airport at Madhya Pradesh as a public airport under the 3C/VFR category. It is now the eighth public airport is the state.

The airport spans an area of around 118 acres, features a terminal building with a capacity to handle 100 passengers an hour, and a runway spanning a length of 1,810 metres and a width of 30 metres. It also features security and passenger handling systems, Wi-Fi connectivity, and baggage handling systems among others.

The airport is likely to be inaugurated soon.
