The Government of Delhi has released funds Rs 1 billion for the Delhi- Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror (SNB) Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor and Rs 0.5 billion for the Delhi-Panipat RRTS corridor. Besides, it is likely to fund Rs 8 billion and Rs 1 billion for Delhi-SNB RRTS and Delhi-Panipat RRTS respectively in 2024-25.
Delhi-Alwar RRTS involves development of a 106 km network connecting Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar corridor in the states of Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan with an investment of Rs 249.75 billion. It will originate from Sarai Kale Khan Terminus station in Delhi and will consist of a total of 16 stations (11 elevated and five underground).
Delhi-Panipat RRTS involves development of 103.02 km long RRTS connecting Delhi to Panipat in Haryana. It will have 17 stations including six in Delhi and 11 in Haryana.
