The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has granted a No Objection for grant of site clearance for the development of the Parandur greenfield airport project. The same has been forwarded to Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited. The project involves the development of a new greenfield airport having two runways, terminal buildings, taxiways, apron, and cargo terminal at Parandur in Tamil Nadu at an estimated cost of Rs 200 billion.
