GMR Airports Infrastructure has reportedly acquired an 8.4 per cent stake in WAISL, a provider of digital infrastructure services at airports. The agreement includes buying 460,000 shares or an 8.4 per cent stake of WAISL from Utthishta Virat Fund for Rs 566.6 million. The move comes as a result of the company’s aims to strengthen its presence in airport related businesses. WAISL, incorporated in 2009, works towards delivering digital infrastructure at airports, and as an exclusive partner for IT services at airports.
