The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has announced the acquisition of an additional 15.9 per cent stake in IndInfravit Trust through two transactions, bringing its total holding in the InvIT to 43.8 per cent. The combined investment amount from both transactions is Rs 10.05 billion. In one deal, the CPPIB has acquired a 7 per cent stake from Sadbhav Infrastructure Projects Limited and through the other, it will acquire 8.9 per cent from L&T Infrastructure Development Projects Limited (L&T IDPL). The acquisition from L&T IDPL is expected to be completed before mid-May, and is currently subject to regulatory requirements.
