The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) has announced that a subsidy of Rs 200 per LPG cylinder will only be extended to below poverty line (BPL) households covered under the Ujjwala scheme. There are around 90 million BPL households that were extended LPG connections free of cost under this scheme.
