DPR for Ganga expressway to be completed by March 20, 2020

The preparation of the detailed project report (DPR) for the four-lane Ganga Expressway project (Phase I) is expected to be completed by March 2020. A consortium of L.N. Malviya Infra Project Private Limited, Highway Engineering Consultant and Infratech Civil Solutions and Consultant has been appointed as the consultant for the same. The project involves the construction of a 628 km four-lane access-controlled expressway (expandable to six lanes) over the Ganga river from Meerut to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 360 billion. It will connect Amroha, Bulandshahr, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Farrukhabad, Hardoi, Kannauj, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Pratapgarh to Prayagraj and will have five major bridges, eight rail overbridges and 18 flyovers.
