Foundation stone laid for Bidadi WtE plant in Karnataka

The Karnataka government laid the foundation stone for the 11.5 MW Bidadi waste-to-energy (WtE) project on December 2, 2020. The project involves the development of a 11.5 MW WtE plant with a capacity to process 600 tonnes per day of waste at Bidadi in Ramanagara district near Bengaluru in Karnataka at an estimated cost of Rs 2.4 billion. The operation and maintenance (O&M) period for the project is two years. The project is expected to be completed in 1.5 years.
